my name is nicholas arcomano- i live in manhattan – i just finished reading ” The Zookeeper’s wife ” & suddenly i thought of maria! she was in medical school in albany , new york in the early 1950s 7 i was oat albany law school – we became friends – lived in the same rooming house – we stayed in touch – exchanging xmas cards – i met her brothers and one wrote a wonderful lefterto me yrs ago – i also met Wiley once at her brothers apt near colubia u- then we lost touch – maybe several yrs ago – My wife cathryn died five yrs ago
i thought maria was an exceptional person – and i am glad i had the opportunity to be her frien for awhile – or perhaps – always !
