We are Halina’s legacy.
It has long been my desire to fulfill my Babcia’s wish to be buried in Poland. Our reunion seemed like a good time to take steps toward making that happen. Babcia was cremated over twenty years ago; I offered to bring her ashes to Warsaw, where she can be buried beside her husband Zygmunt Bereda. This is what she wanted. Fortunately, everyone agreed. I’m now in possession of Babcia’s remains and all that is left is to make the arrangements.

Hello, my name is Ingrid and I used be a companion to “babcia” when I lived in Hawaii in 1970 and 1971.
I will look though my albums, find and soon share the pictures I took of her during that time.
I loved all her stories about Bayamon, Puerto Rico, where I believe she lived for a short while.
I adored Halina and have never forgotten her, George, and the rest of family. GB boutique on Kalakaua, was a place I was also part of and friends with Judy Guerra (who I wish I could find) and Sandy Anthony.
It was a nice gift to come upon this page. Thank you.

I sincerely hope you can bring her wishes to fruition. Babcia – what a love she was in my life, and she will never be forgotten, even though it was for short two years that I was able to spend with her.
